The third band I caught up with at the Live at Leeds announcement event was local indie pop group – Ormstons. Considering they were the shows opener, their set to the hometown crowd was packed with electric and riff-heavy hits.
They debuted new single ‘Can’t Take your Call’ during the set, followed by an announcement that it would be their third Spotify release come midnight. Their biggest hit ‘Mexico City’ was greatly received by the crowd after it was opened by a snippet of an Abba classic to really get the crowd invested.
Similarly to Skinny Living and The Hubbards, Ormstons are on the Live at Leeds bill amongst some huge names who were announced at the event. They will be sharing a festival with Brits Critics’ Choice award winner Sam Fender and Manchester favourites Slow Readers Club amongst others!
Here’s my interview with Jess, Bob and Josh:
You can also catch them playing at Leeds Oporto on Sunday February 17, so make sure to head down!
